New Years Resolutions for 2016

Hey Everyone, today I'm going to be really honest with you: New Years resolutions were never my thing. I always made some, but I could never make them come true. In my opinion we should set goals every day, because you can not write down everything you want to do in the upcoming year. I know that life can change in every minute and goals can also change in an instant.
This is why I never make New Year's resolutions, but this year I make an exception.
In 2016 I want to be happy and I want to laugh as much as possible. Be more open towards other people, and go out more with them. And also I want to be able to keep my resolutions, because these are really basic.
Happy New Year Everyone! I'll see you in 2016.

"The story of a girl, who learned to live from a boy, who wants to die"

For my very first book review I choose a book, which is really close to my heart. It's a really intense but also a really light and funny YA contemporary book. This amazing book is called All the bright places and it was written by Jennifer Niven. I never thought I'm going to enjoy this book so much.
This story is about two broken teenagers, who try to find their way back to life. Theodore Finch is suicidal, and he is always thinking about ways to commit it. He is a misfit at school, everyone thinks he is crazy. He is also very impulsive and he is (in my opinion) trying find his way in life. Violet is the other main character, whose sister died recently and she is kind of trying to get it together. Before her sister died in a car accident she was a popular girl in school, she had a really cute boyfriend, and she had a webzine with her sister. Since the accident she couldn't write and she is struggling with finding her voice again. These two desperate and lost teenagers meet on the edge of the bell tower of the school. I don't really think either of them wanted to jump but they were standing there and When Violet almost fell, Finch helped her and from that point Finch had a reason to live. It's like he found a purpose. He wants to know why Violet wanted to jump and make sure she is okay, he even makes her to do the geography project with him and they start adventures together. While doing these amazing adventures, they realize how good they are together. And no, they don't fall in love immediately.
This book affected me in so many ways. For example, I couldn't just relate one of the main characters, I could relate to them together. Finches darkness and desperation, dealing with being depressed and trying to fit in. In Violet, I found the part of me which loves writing and reading and the need for love. In her grief, I saw mine, only I didn't lose my sister(I don't have one), I just lost a part of myself, which I can never get back.
I would say it's definitely a must-read, if you're really into YA contemporary.
I hope you enjoyed reading my first review, talk to you later,

My first blogpost!

Hi, my name is Bianka, and I want to be a writer sometime in the future, but until that I'm going to write about my favorite topics here on this blog: books, fashion and also about some random things as well. Reading has been my favorite thing to do over the last couple of years, and I couldn't find a place to discuss them or to express my opinions on them. I really want to improve my English, because I want to study in English on college. Because It's not my original language, I'm sorry for any grammar mistakes I'm going to make in the future. I hope you like my blog, and have fun reading it!
Bye, Bianka
